I went ice-skating yesterday!
At Oakleigh.
The ice-skating rink was in the middle of a sleepy suburb=)
It was FREEEEEZzzzinG!!..
Thank God Irina and I brought our gloves and scarves!
Kudos to us. Haha.
Jiah is the obvious pro out of the 5 of us,
skating around with ease, and he's able to break with the
T-method!.. Haha. Although i really really wanted to learn to skate
backwards, it proved abit too much for me to grasp!..Lol
Eliza had abit of trouble, but ended up grasping the technique rather well..

I'm probably gonna start working at the cafe in my uni called:
Pesto!
i just love the italian owners,
And they're offering both Irina and I jobs!..

Hooray for italians and their yummy pizzas. It's so great to work in a place
you visit daily,
and where the co-workers are friendlier than friendly !!..

So begins my journey as an international student, again..
flew off on 19/07/07.
felt a little lonely as i left my family,friends and Wen for a 2nd time.
But, it was great while it lasted. Got to meet up with Manda,churchies,and my darling tennis girls=)) home is always where the heart is.
But today, Melbourne was where the FUN was.
On a random streak, Madi, Byron Irina and I decided to take a road trip..
Dragging along FuYee and Eliza, who (amazingly)landed today and agreed to come along,
the 6 were reunited. Along the sunny coast of
Madi and Byron took turns driving us to Philip Island. And here we are, at the Koala conservation centre.. Hoping to check out these sleepy marsupials Isn't the scenery perfect? Its the best getaway from a crazy city life. THe fresh air, and beautiful trees.. Nature. mm..
Main Attraction. largest hybrid koala in the world. not. haha.. the girls.. Eliza(phoebe),irina(jenniferaniston),me(monica).. haha. Eliza was never ready for the picture, but this is going up on irina and my photowall anyway.
Sleepy poo. Fast fact: Koalas curl up during winter to conserve energy,and keep themselves warm. They eat eucalyptus leaves, which does not make them stoned. Byron tried coughing very loudly to wake em, and one of the koalas ended up pooping. Haha. probably because it was freaked out.. Luckily we weren't at the receiving end .
Thats a tree bark we're all sitting on. Its pretty solid.. Me,Irina,Byron,Eliza,Madi and Fuyee. its amazing how city kids are in awe of weirdly shaped barks and branches.. and end up fascinated enough to sit on them, or stand on em for pictures. Haha. We did a balancing act on one of the tree barks..which was laid horizontally..
Ok. This is probably the favorite part of my whole trip.. Rolling down the green green hills in front of the ocean. The View was PERFECT. see the lil girl behind me? she was rolling back and forth till i decided to join her.. Haha. its just so so relaxing to be able to behave like a lil kid again. Apparently i wasn't the only one..And this brings us to the laugh of the day:
Madi, spontaneously decided to join me, and ended up gaining so much momentum, he couldn't stop rolling. BAHAHAHA. if it werent for byron, he would have rolled down the hill and onto the beach. We should've let him,byron. Lol~
Ah. Relaxing on the hillside. the 6 of us. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. with the photographer's cute lil baby boy=) he's actually the lil brother of the girl in the last picture.. After this, we went to watch lil penguins come up from the ocean.. And they're so amazingly small u wanna adopt em.. However, we weren't allowed to snap any pictures. Sorry guys.. you gotta come experience it yourselves.. I bet it was like 0 degrees. cos we were all freezing our asses off...
The day ended perfectly with Fish and chips, which cost only $5, from a local stall just behind this hill...
Uni begins tomorrow.. And i wish the holidays could last forever...but its time to jump start another semester of working harder, playing less and being more focussed.. especially on God. Friends from Singapore, email me k??.. i'll try to reply as fast as possible.
